What this site collects, and what it doesn’t.
The short version
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and enquiry submissions. It sets no cookies, uses no browser storage, carries no advertising and builds no advertising profile of anyone. Website files, including fonts and the analytics script, are served through our own domain. Vercel operates our hosting and analytics. The information collected is explained below.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel’s servers receive your IP address and basic request details (the page asked for, the time, your browser type) in order to deliver the page, and may keep them in short-lived operational logs. We do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors.
What is counted
We use Vercel Web Analytics, a counting service run by our host, to see how the site is used. When a page opens, your browser tells the site which page it was, the address of the site you came from if you followed a link, and the time. The page address is sent without anything after a question mark. From the request itself, Vercel also notes an approximate location (country, region and city) and the kind of device, operating system and browser.
If you send an enquiry form, the site counts that a form was sent and which of the two forms it was. Nothing you typed is included in the count.
No cookie is set and nothing is stored in your browser. To tell one visitor from another without a cookie, Vercel makes a short code from the request; it describes the visitor session as discarded after 24 hours, and the counts as not tied to any individual or IP address. No name, email address or IP address is kept in these counts, and we see totals only.
The enquiry form
The enquiry forms on the home page and the small-business page ask for your name, a business email address and a short note on what you need. When you send one, this site passes those three things to Resend, an email delivery service, which emails them to our inbox. The site keeps no copy: nothing is written to a database or a log here, and the form sets no cookie.
We use what you send only to reply to you and follow up on your enquiry. We do not sell it or pass it to anyone for marketing.
Please do not put incident records, medical details or other people’s personal information in the form.
If you email or call us
Email to plumbline.systems addresses, including messages sent through the form, is handled by Google Workspace. We keep your message and contact details so that we can reply and follow up, and we do not sell them or pass them to anyone for marketing.
Please do not send incident records, medical details or other people’s personal information by email. If something like that reaches us unasked, tell us and we will delete it.
